Yes, I posted this in the shotgun forum and then realized that it won't get much traffic at all. Lets be honest, shotguns are the red-headed step child of the firearms world and it's a very niche subject, therefore the page won't see the visitors needed to answer the question. Besides, I want a C&R shotgun anyways. Moving on..
I'm thinking about buying a SXS Shotgun but I'm not sure what exactly to get. Hopefully you guys can advise me a bit.
Requirements
-Must be C&R
-Not a wall hanger. It will be shot.
-Won't be specific for skeet shooting or bird shooting. More of a general purpose defense/BLM use.
-12GA
-Unique in its own way.
-$400 - $600 range.
I walked in the local shop a couple weeks ago looking for a new grouse gun...I got a really good deal on a cz ringneck 12gauge. It was a little heavier than I wanted in a carry all day bird gun and I was really in the market for a 20gauge, but it was a deal I couldn't pass up..and it points like a wand for me. Had it out last week and killed a limit of quail with it, I've already done a good bit of damage on the local piegon population too. All in all its a fun gun. It has screw in chokes, 26' barrels and a 3' chamber. I am liking the gun so well it got me wondering if anyone has ever used a double gun calling coyotes? There's no reason at all it shouldn't work, but I don't think I have ever seen a thread or post about it. Anyone here ever ran a double barrel for predators?
