I have a very old program called Aldus Photostyler of photo editing. He is so old that my version is on diskettes 3,5 'and has been designed to work with Windows 3.1 and 95.

I and a number of other people still find Aldus Photostyler, one of the most easy to use photo editing software and device pretty packed for the time. The program can be installed almost without problem with Windows XP and may be installed and used with some limitations however up to Vista.

However, Windows 7 does not yet allow me install the program.

Anyone know if there is some kind of patch or something available that would allow me to install Aldus Photostyler (I have version 2.0) in Windows 7? Or, I can install it by using a screen BACK (not sure if Windows 7 still has something like that) and somehow use this way?

I really think it's a shame that this program no longer works on PC today. It was a very nice program, had a lot of features, but especially was very easy to use. He has not taken a Photostyler for Dummies book just to learn the basics. I know more expensive programs such as Photoshop have all the same features, but I'd rather not take 6 months, it would take me to learn to do the same things in Photoshop I can already do in Photostyler.

I love Photostyler enough that I keep Windows XP loaded on a laptop, just so that I can use it.

My version of Windows 7 is something like home of luxury or something like that.

I agree about the ease of use and features. This is a great program for a work simple and great to work with.
My problem is that I have a copy on a CD with three directories Disk1, Disk2 and Disk3 and the program installs not this configuration.
If I opened Disk1 and installation pssetup.exe is OK until he needs Disk2 when I get the message: Insert Disk2 in 'Drive letter: Disk1. Opening Disk2 does not help, and copy all the files in a folder 'pstyler' and the pssetup.exe running do not work either.

It's the same situation with XP. The print driver names must match. If you notice the name of the printer driver that uses XP is a name different from the one that is installed when you plug in the device on the Windows 7 computer. This is just my assumption, please correct me if this isn't the case.
The real solution is to install a 32-bit driver on the XP machine that uses the same name that the 64-bit driver and share a printer using this driver or find a 64-bit driver that uses the same name as the 32-bit driver installed on XP and install the driver on XP.

I try to install Virtual PC on a computer windows 7 custom made 64-bit and it repeatedly comes up with an error message saying: basically, it cannot install and I need to find a 64-bit version of the .exe. Can someone help me? I have this has cited by the customer service. It's a little frustrating because I know that you should be able to install 32-bit programs on 64-bit.

BDTA program runs under xp service pac (3) d on the old computer. New computer has windows 7. Transfer program from the old computer to new computer via flash drive (do not have the original installation CD probably diskette).
Windows 7 flags program as incompatible, but all the various solutions do not work. Cannot find an original manufacturer - probably out of business.
Any ideas on the realization of compatibility or compatible location new program that replaces the BDTA will be appreciated.

You can not simply to transfer program files that they need to write to the registry. You will need the executable of the program file to install the program under Windows 7. It is perhaps not compatible but as Azam said, you might be able to run in Compatibility Mode.
If you have an older application for Windows XP or Vista, which does not work in Windows 7, you can make it work properly by running the program in compatibility mode.

2. then, select compatibility in the menu tabs at the top of the properties page:

5. run the installation program.
After installation, run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode by doing the same thing with the installed program.

I recently bought a C4680 with the intention of using it as a wireless printer connected in conjunction with a Linksys print server. Currently, I do this now with three PC and another HP printer.
I have a laptop with Vista Home, another laptop with XP s/p3 and a desktop with XP s/p3.
With the Vista PC installation was quick and easy. However, when installing on both machines XP, installed on the ground to stop when you try to install the drivers after the connection of the USB cable. I can't install the utility on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Eco. After loading the files, the installation routine stops and says no 'supported BIOS'. I use the latest version of the Eco (v1.1.11.64) and BIOS (v1.70) utility.
Additionally PC Health Monitor does not work too. Setup concludes with ' don't support. '.

I checked the Toshiba page and normally this laptop supports the Eco utility.
Eco Utility works on the factory settings? I mean the version preinstalled Windows or you have only this question on the current version of Windows 7?
